Chip Sawyer
President
Chip Sawyer started his career at the Silver Moon Drive-In Theatre in 2007 working in the box office on the weekends. He then worked at the Swap Shop and Drive-In Theatre, in various roles, learning the business from his grandfather, Harold Spears. In 2015, he was named a supervisor of both the Silver Moon and Joy-Lan Drive-In Theatres. In 2017, he was named President of Sun South Theatres after the passing of longtime owner Harold Spears.
James Andrews
Supervisor
James Andrews started his career at the Silver Moon Drive-In Theatre in 2002. He updates all media projects and supervises the Joy-Lan Drive-In, Dade City in addition to the Silver Moon.
Chris Hodge
Drive In Manager
Chris Hodge began working at the Silver Moon when he was 16 years old and worked throughout his high school years. He graduated from First Institute of Orlando film school and has received several IMDB credits in films and TV shows. In 2019, Chris returned to the Silver Moon Drive In managing film media and day-to-day operations.
Brenda Soper
Swap Shop Manager
Brenda Soper started her career at the Silver Moon Drive-In in 2007. She has since taken over the Management at the Swap Shop.
Harold Spears
1929-2017
Harold Spears started his career in 1954 with Carl Floyd, theatre owner, as manager trainee of the Carib Theatre in Clearwater. In 1956, he was promoted to supervisor of three theatres in Winter Garden, Florida, including the Starlite Drive-In. Harold continued to manage and supervise more than 50 theatres, serving as president and CEO of Floyd Enterprises (which included Floyd Theatres, Southwest Bottlers, Inc. and various real estate holdings). He was President and CEO of Sun South Theatres from 1996 – 2017 and passed away in 2017.
